Travel Tips & Tricks
MY EXOGENOUS KETO DRINK
When I travel, I always take nuts, seeds and several packages of the Exogenous Keto drink. (This helps with hunger and keeps me in ketosis. I HIGHLY recommend this.)
JERKY
Jerky is also a great option to take but as a word of warning, make sure you pay attention to the ingredients used and stay away from those that add a lot of sugar. An alternative is to make your own! I promise it isn’t as hard as it sounds. Find out how to make your own jerky.
Utilize your hotel room refrigerator
When I get to my hotel, I make sure I have a refrigerator in my room. Most hotels offer a fridge often stocked with non-healthy foods that will cost a fortune. A better use of the fridge is to stock it with veggies, boiled eggs, cheese, greek yogurt etc… (check out the foods on your OK list.) You can pick up these items from the local grocery store and it is well worth the trip.
Eating out Tips
Let’s face it, when we go on a trip, some of the most fun can be found at the restaurant. With your new culture that doesn’t have to change! Here are a few meal suggestions:
Breakfast
Breakfast is easy! A favorite meal of mine is a veggie omelette, bacon (sparingly), and eggs. I tell them to leave the potatoes off the plate and no bread.
Lunch
For lunch I frequently will order a sandwich and request a lettuce wrap instead of the bun. This allows me to eat the meat, cheese and veggies and not worry about the bread. Typically with the substitution, the server will allow me to pick an extra side. My favorite is a dill pickle slice.
Dinner
Dinner is also very easy! I typically go for the steak and salad. Top it off with a fresh berry bowl with whipped cream!
Snacking
Time between meals doesn’t have to be tough. I make sure to bring plenty of Exogenous Keto drinks with me at all times. This supplement drink not only tastes great, but helps curb my appetite without any sacrifice to my energy levels. If it is one of those days where a meal can’t come soon enough, be sure to snack on plenty of nuts.
